Being a long-distance grandparent is HARD. I find the support from Kerry and the other grandparents invaluable. I don’t feel so alone! And the ideas I have gotten have helped me maintain a strong relationship with my granddaughter. I look forward to the guest expert talks and the Zoom gatherings!

I benefit so much from each part of The LDG Society. When I joined the group I was frightened that I would lose connection with my granddaughter. I knew just talking with video chat would not be enough. I also felt emotionally overwhelmed and isolated. I wanted information and wasn’t sure how to find it. The LDG Society has provided support in all these areas and is so much more than I had hoped for! I can’t thank you enough!

My decision to join the Long Distance Grandparent Society has genuinely improved my relationship with my grandchildren and their parents in so many ways. I feel more confident in the ways I reach out to the children and more hopeful about maintaining our connection in spite of the distance. I feel supported when things don’t go as planned and inspired to continue my efforts to stay connected.

I don’t know how I stumbled upon the LDG but is has truly transformed the way I communicate with my young granddaughters whether it’s thru Facetime/Snail Mail or In Person Visits. I look forward to the Connection Packs each month to see if there are new and exciting/creative ideas I can use to make my time with my granddaughters more fun and meaningful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this group – I’m so glad I joined!

I went through almost a nine-year period of grieving my life without any grandkids close by. This membership has really given me renewed hope and a satisfaction that I can still be involved in my grandchildren’s lives, even though I’m not in the same town. I love the calls and the personal nature of hearing people stories. It’s such a great idea to have that kind of a group where we can share our wins and also our concerns.

The LDG Society makes me feel I’m a better grandparent by being creative with my grandchildren and I think my son and daughter-in-law appreciate that I’m taking extra steps to make my time with my grandchildren extra-special
